FAQ · Booking basics

What happens if my flight is cancelled for weather?

Quick answer

If wind or visibility makes flying unsafe, you're rebooked for the next available morning, or refunded in full if you can't reschedule. Cancellation rates in Marrakech are low — the region sees over 300 sunny days a year.

How the decision is made

Pilots assess wind speed, direction and visibility in the hours before dawn, using a fixed set of limits agreed before the season starts — not a judgement call made under pressure to fly anyway. If conditions fall outside those limits, the flight is cancelled rather than risked.

When you'll find out

You'll be notified by WhatsApp or phone as early as possible, usually the night before or in the very early morning, so you can adjust your plans with minimal disruption.

Your options if it happens

  • Rebook for the next available morning during your stay, at no extra cost
  • Request a full refund of whatever you've paid, deposit or in full

Planning around it

If your schedule allows, avoid booking your balloon flight for your very last morning in Marrakech — a one-day buffer gives you a rebooking option if needed.
